Man, I'm pretty depressed right now because I found the perfect mold for Damien but he only comes in tanned resin. The new Angel Studio doll, Gavin....-___- I was certainly not expecting to see his gorgeous face when I clicked on the link. His face is that of Damien's so much, I could actually cry. So I melted into a huge whiny dork and basically sent AS an email begging (and bribing <_<;;) them to make him in Normal skin. I doubt they'll listen to me...I probably wouldn't listen to me if I were them. Damn you AS, damn you. If worse comes to worse, I'll buy him and have him sent to someone who can airbrush him a lighter color for me. I don't care if it works or not, I'm just that desperate.

Now, I have some doll clothes/accessories/etc that I've either been trying to get rid of or that I haven't listed for sale yet that I want to get rid of. I thought I'd take this random moment to post the rest of my extensive doll plans since I didn't really complete them in the last entry. xD

Well, I caved last week and decided to permanently affix Damien to my BJD plans. I keep looking at his floppy little 12" self and thinking how magical he would be with my BJD troupe. I guess I should have realized it was his time when I started buying him clothes and little accessories without fully making plans to buy him. 
I just don't know which mold to make him though. I've been frequenting just about every doll site I know and haven't been able to find a mold with potential for Dami. Ah well, I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

OK, now Tanis Grey is another one of my characters that recently came to life in the form of Luts' Super Senior Delf Event 08 Man. I just finished his faceup and he looks awesome, but of course I can't take pictures of it because our camera is broken.;_; 

Well, Tanis is part of Montresor and Brody's story. Unbeknownst to them, he is actually their older brother (25 yrs. old) but left the family before Montresor's birth because of his loathing for their parents. His entire past is still sort of a grey area right now but I do know that he eventually ends up changing his name and working for the government doing paranormal research in a top secret sector.  He's eventually assigned to investigate the Vanguard home (his old family home) for suspicious supernatural activity involving a werewolf. Although he had sworn off his family for good, he went to the manor regardless since he is undyingly devoted to his work. He eventually forces himself into Montresor and Brody's lives under the pretense that he is their father's assistant, but Montresor quickly becomes suspicious of him and his intentions. Tanis investigates for an entire year fully aware that the results could lead to his brother's incarceration, but Montresor, being incredibly skilled in hiding his true nature, manages to evade Tanis' watchful eye.  
Montresor and Brody still have no idea that Tanis is their older brother since their parents were disgustingly efficient in concealing his existence. However, after observing his brother's sad state, Tanis has been toying with the idea of telling them and reevaluating his obligations to his family. Knowing Tanis though, I have serious doubts he'll end up choosing his brothers over his work. He's just cold-hearted like that. <_< Truth be told, Montresor and Tanis are sort of sworn enemies; it's become somewhat of an endless game with them. Tanis stalking Montresor secretively trying to find concrete evidence of his supernatural ability and Montresor sneaking about, finding extreme ways to conceal it from him and then boasting about his success through subtle insinuations. Brody just stays out of the way but does what he can to cover up Montresor's wild wolfie side. 

Tanis is a very particular and interesting character, and I already feel so attached to him.^^ I bought him some shiny new shoes and a pair of brown rimmed glasses. He needs a suit next or something else nice and dressy looking. He's obsessive compulsive as well so he'll need a pair of gloves and I'm thinking of making him a handkerchief or two that he can stuff in his jacket pocket for emergency uses.xD  He still needs his SDF body though and a proper blonde wig that I can gel back.

As a side note; one of my interviews last week went very well, and I got the job! (I somehow wound up talking about my dolls, and they seemed genuinely interested in them!!) I'll be making at least triple of what I used to make. ^____^

Man, A LOT of changes are underway in my mad little doll realm. I'll go over everything here, mostly for my own benefit because it helps me organize my thoughts. ^^;;
Firstly, the Miho version of Leslie was sold recently and shipped to his new owner. I feel he will be quite content with Lea, and at least there will still be opportunities for me to see him again. He just seemed way too mature and serious to pull Leslie off even with a bitchy faceup xD and those things were problem enough for me to want to change his mold entirely. I decided to replace him with Migidoll's newest sculpt, Jina, a faaarrr more suitable host with her softer/younger features and full lips. He arrived just a few days ago, so I modded him with half closed eyes and basically slapped a faceup on because I was so anxious and way too happy to have my Lezy kins back. Christ I love everything about this boy, and I feel so jazzed and relieved to finally be able to say he is officially Leslie. I can't see myself ever wanting to change him now because he's honestly reached his ultimate potential. Like, if Migidoll had released this sculpt a year ago when I was considering making Leslie a BJD, Jina would have been my immediate choice.
After all the threads about Migi's new resin, I was expecting some wierd, unnatural color, but I have to say I am enamored with the tones of his resin. It's a nice pinky peach color, which works for me since Leslie is supposed to have sunkissed skin. I plan on putting him on the 2nd version B&G boy bod, which should be arriving any day, and I'm not expecting it to be a perfect match but I have a good enough feeling about it.

I added a light dash of freckles across his nose this time around because Leslie spends a lot of time in the sun so it just seemed appropriate that he should have some.^_^

Ok, now this is going to be a shocker... I sold my SS BW Elf Shiwoo (previously Dani) to Carm yesterday. Yes, the SS Elf Shiwoo, whom has always been my dream doll now belongs to her and will become the new Jackie. ^^;; It's just one of those situations where the character outgrows the mold and starts to take on a completely different form the more you think about him. I just felt bored and restricted with the doll, and that really should not be the case since he is a fairly new character and an inspiring one at that.>.~ So Dani will become a Soom Beryl on a CP boy body (but I get sick of CP bodies quickly, so I may end up getting him a v.2 B&G boy body). I'm so excited! Every time I would look at Beryl's face, I would see Dani, and this is what also convinced me to change his sculpt ultimately. This was NOT an easy decision though; I've been battling with it for several weeks. This particular doll has always been epic in my eyes and I just never anticipated not being able to find a suitable character for him. In any case, I knew that if I ever fell out of love with him he would not be leaving the house, he's just too special and meaningful a doll for that. So lucky for me, Carm saw Jackie in him and offered to buy him from me. ^^  Everything just works out well and I think I'm going to be mighy pleased with the new Dani.

 Heeeeeeeeee~!!! xD I got my little Ash yesterday! His arrival was a most welcomed surprise because I wasn't expecting him until Monday at least. I was shaking while opening the box!xD To be honest, I don't think I have ever been this excited opening a dolly box since Tyr.@_@ I've been wanting a Limho Mono for 2 years so it's such a satisfying feeling to finally have him. ^^

I took pictures of him last night but he is not wearing his proper wig or eyes (they have yet to arrive). He's wearing his own pants and shoes, but he had to borrow Jamie's  hoodie for now until he has more clothes of his own.

Here he is!! My little Ash "Bandicoot" :) He earned that nickname yesterday because of the orange hair, and since his name is Ash, it just seemed appropriate. xD (based on the video game character 'Crash Bandicoot' for those who aren't familiar)

Ok, lots of doll-related stuff going on that I need to share...

Now, I'm in a bit of a pickle... 
I've been strongly considering selling Tyr, my first doll for several months now. :( I initially thought it was because he didn't have a body, but when he finally got his body, the feelings were still there. I just feel like he represents a phase of my life that has come to a close and can't be revisited. I don't feel inspired by him anymore, he doesn't have a strong character or backstory, I don't sew or buy him things, and quite frankly, I'm not even fond of the mold anymore. Luts molds in general don't have the same appeal as they used to. But at the same time, he's been with me for about 3 years now and there are so many fond memories attached to him. I realize it's ultimately my choice to make but, I may need some advice. If I were to hang on to him I would need to change his faceup, wig and maybe even eyes.
Man, I'm just really torn, and every time I think I've made a concrete decision I find that I'm unsettled again 2 or 3 hours later. I've tried to imagine myself without him & using the money from him to buy another doll I'm wishing for and I've tried to imagine keeping him and continuing to ignore him.  I know which one sounds more appealing but I just can't bring myself to sell him GAHHHH!!!

On to more uplifting news; I am in the process of buying Ash, my Limho Mono!! Finally... I've been wanting one for about 2 years but kept putting him off for other SD sized boys. I had ordered one through Dollfair a couple of months ago, but didn't think it actually processed because I had never sent payment for him. Well, after I posted a WTB thread, Catrina contacted me to let me know she had the one I ordered at her shop waiting for me!! I sent her $300USD on him already and I still have $145USD left to pay, but I should have my pretty Ash very shortly! *starry eyes* I'm so excited. I miss having a mini to lug around all over the place. xD

Anyways, yesterday I sanded Montresor's minimee body muscles, so now it's a lot more natural and smooth. I loves it...*drools* Carm is going to be doing his cool chest tattoos soon (I've always wanted him to have something similar to Sirius Black if you know what I mean). I'll post more of him once that's done.

 Funny story... A couple of weeks ago I purchased another LK Mihael with intentions of heavily modding it in order to fit my new character, Tristan. Plus I just adore this mold and was curious/anxious to see what else could be done with it. So over the course of a week, I modded his nose to hell (sanded it with 3 different grains of sandpaper and reshaped it a bit to look more like a "button") and opened his eyes with my knife and sandpaper. Then I added heavier lids using ma trusty ol' apoxie. When all was complete, I was totally smitten with his look, so smitten in fact, he made me dislike my current Mihael (Riddley). 
So, after much contemplation, I decided to turn this new Mihael into Riddley instead! I've already swiped the old Riddley's faceup, and I plan on listing him for sale with a new faceup soon. I still haven't settled on a new mold for Tristan, but that will come with time me thinks. *nods* I'm not in any rush.

So here is a little teaser pic of the new and improved Riddley Twist! (I still haven't given him his last coat of MSC nor have I glossed him or given him back his piercings)



You'll notice his faceup is altered quite a bit... I wanted him to look more natural and feasible, and more like his original character design, which is supposed to be sneaky and mischievous looking. So I didn't whiten his face this time or give him his signature black lips. While I did love them for a time, I find they were taking away from his whole face rather than drawing you in. Carm suggested a maroony color (and pointed out that it'd be closer to the Joker's lips that way xD), and I thought it would be cool to add red stripes down his cheeks. Though I'm probably going to have to remove them prior to spraying so they won't be permanent (just in case I get tired of them).
I hope you like him! Once he's entirely complete, I will be taking lots more pics to share.:) 

Oh yeah, which reminds me...Montresor got his DIM Minimee body a couple of days ago! I thought it suited him perfectly, but the only thing that really irked me was the way the torso kept snapping back. >_< He was all like, "Hey, look at my chest!" Honestly, who puffs out their chest like that? So I added apoxie to the back piece and made a groove of sorts so it now poses in a much more natural manner. Mind you, the extra piece is grey toned, so it looks a little odd, but it's worth it I think. I'll post pics of that later if anyone wants to see. Also, I plan on doing a Montresor -> Brian Slade (from Velvet Goldmine) cosplay pretty soon!xD I think it's going to be hilarious and awesome all at the same time.:D

 OK... OH. MY. GOD. I don't have work today so I decided to paint a few dollies (despite the less than spectacular weather). I worked on a commission and on one of my own boys, Montresor. I'd been putting him off for a really long time because I was starting to feel super discouraged after having seen some other gorgeous Dias pop up here and there. But I forced myself to do it in the end because I'd already wasted so much time and energy trying to create this difficult bloody character. So now that he is finally complete, I have to say Montresor... is... GODLY. Honestly, besides the eye shape (which I've heavily modded) Dia is the ultimate Montresor, I just can't get over it. I've been carrying his little head around aimlessly all day, not really having a clue what to do next. I've honestly never felt so satisfied with a faceup I've done before (especially on Montresor). I am pygmalion today, yep. *pats myself on the back*
Now I just need his body to arrive and fast. Damn you DIM, DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL! I can't even take pics to show you guys because one of my sisters took the camera...as usual;__;
